Crediting and compounding frequency varies with the term. Interest begins to accrue no later than the business day when you deposit non-cash items. Interest is compounded using the daily balance method by applying a periodic rate to the full amount of principal in the account each day. Closing the account before interest is credited will forfeit the accrued interest. A penalty may be imposed for early withdrawal. Transfers or rollovers from a Bank of Hays IRA will be assessed a $25 fee. Fees on all accounts may reduce earnings.
